Before You Request Motorcycle Service: What to Share

You don’t need to diagnose your motorcycle before contacting the shop. A clear description of the bike and what you’ve noticed is a useful starting point.

Start with the basics

Include the make, year, model and current mileage. Let Bill know about modifications or accessories that may relate to the work. Harley-Davidson is our main specialty, and we also service Indian and other motorcycles.

Describe what happens

For a repair concern, explain the symptom in your own words. Does the bike have trouble starting? Has a new noise appeared? Mention when it happens, whether the bike is cold or warm, and anything that changed before the problem began.

Bring the service history you have

Recent work and available records can help shape the conversation. For routine maintenance, the owner’s manual and model-specific service schedule are useful references. If the history is incomplete or the motorcycle has been stored, say so in your request.

Share your timing

If you have a trip coming up, include the date and the work you’re hoping to arrange. Preferred dates are requests, not confirmed appointments. Contact Bill before bringing the bike to the shop so you can agree on timing and drop-off arrangements.

Ready to get started? Send a service request with your contact details and a short description of what you need.
