You do not need to diagnose it before calling. Tell Bill what changed, when it happens and what the motorcycle is doing.
From there, the goal is simple: understand the problem, explain the options and do dependable work.
WHAT RIDERS NOTICE
Slow cranking, intermittent starting or a motorcycle that will not fire.
Hesitation, poor idle, loss of power or behavior that has changed.
Fresh spots, unusual odors or signs that a seal or system needs attention.
New sounds, shaking or feedback that was not there before.
Charging, lighting, starting or connection issues that come and go.
Changes in response, travel or confidence when operating the motorcycle.
REPAIR CONVERSATIONS
The symptom is a starting point. The motorcycle’s condition and a hands-on assessment help determine the work.
A rough idle, hesitation or a bike that will not stay running can have several causes. Share when it happens, how it starts and any recent fuel-system or intake changes.
Tell Bill whether the bike cranks, clicks, loses charge or has intermittent lighting. Include battery age and recent accessory changes when you describe the issue.
Note where a leak appears and whether it changes after a ride. Unusual sounds, oil consumption or a change in performance are also useful details for the first conversation.
Hard shifting, clutch slip or an unfamiliar sound through the drivetrain can be difficult to describe. Explain what you feel and the conditions that bring it on.
A change in braking response, fork leaks or a new vibration needs a closer look. Tell Bill what changed and discuss the appropriate inspection before making riding plans.
PARTS / PERFORMANCE / PERSONAL TOUCHES
Comfort, appearance and the way the bike responds all matter. Start with what you want to improve, then discuss the parts and work that might get you there.
Request serviceConsidering bars, seating, lighting or other changes? Check model fitment and installation requirements before buying.
Explain how you ride and what you want to feel different. Ask Bill about suitable options and any related setup or tuning needs.
For engine work, transmission concerns or a more involved build, share the details early. Scope, parts and availability need a separate conversation.
REPAIR QUESTIONS
Discuss the problem and the motorcycle first. Model fitment, previous changes and the cause of the issue can affect which parts are needed.
Send the year, model and a description of any changes. Bill can discuss whether the job fits the shop and what information is needed before a visit.
